Day 1: Favorite Season - Season 6
My favorite because it was hard to get into. It was so intensely dark, and it never let up. Just when you think you can feel anymore hopeless about buffy and co., it gets worse. Even the musical episode feels so dark. Tara’s death and Willow’s fall from grace were so gripping. Let’s not forget that the whole damn season starts with Buffy coming back from the fucking dead. By bringing the viewer down so low, the ending that finally shows triumph is that much more rewarding. Like “The Body,” in season 5, “Once More With Feeling” saw Joss Whedon really flexing his writing muscles by pushing himself in to new directions. What an awesome season.
Close second is Season 5, then 7, then 3. Hell, they are all so good.
